  • Shift in the economic axis : This is a short news clip about top USA graduates going to India for jobs, a reverse of the previous pattern of top Indian graduates coming to the USA. This shift in the axis has the potential for profound cultural influences.
  • IBM topples Microsoft after 15 years: IBM passed Microsoft Corp to become the world’s second-most valuable technology company, a reflection of industry changes including the shift away from the personal computer. IBM’s market value rose to $214 billion today, while Microsoft’s fell to $213.2 billion, the first time IBM has exceeded its software rival based on closing prices since 1996, according to Bloomberg data. IBM is now the fourth-largest company by market value and, in technology, trails only Apple Inc, the world’s most valuable company.
  • 9 hot IT skills for 2012: Programming and Application Development tops the chart with Business Analyst trailing on second are considered to be the top hot IT skills for 2012 according to Computer World.
